McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Business Analytics/Report Writer for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include:
+ Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to gather reporting requirements and clarify underlying needs.
+ Design, build, and maintain custom reports and dashboards that support decision-making across the clinic.
+ Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
+ Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in all reports and dashboards.
+ Develop and maintain documentation for all reporting processes and tools.
+ Train and assist staff in understanding and utilizing reports effectively.
+ Monitor data quality and troubleshoot any reporting issues as they arise.
+ Stay updated on emerging tools and best practices in business analytics, especially within the healthcare sector.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
+ Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
+ Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, or similar platforms.
+ Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
+ Understanding of database structures and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Epic’s Clarity).
+ Knowledge of Excel for advanced data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
+ Bonus: Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced data manipulation and analytics,
Days: Monday- Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Experience
+ 2-5 years of experience in a business analytics or report-writing role.
+ Proven experience developing actionable reports using tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Crystal Reports.
+ Familiarity with healthcare workflows and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (experience with Epic desireable)
+ Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and handling sensitive data.
+ Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server).
