**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator responsible for manufacturing quality production according to work orders or build signals. General duties may include picking, packing, kitting, and assembling. The role involves machine setup, equipment operation, calibration, monitoring, and adjusting machine settings, along with maintaining records and activity logs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manufacture quality production according to work orders or build signals
+ Perform general duties including picking, packing, kitting, and assembling
+ Prepare machines to start the production cycle and perform calibration
+ Monitor and properly adjust machine settings
+ Maintain records and activity logs
**Essential Skills**
+ 6 months of production experience in a manufacturing environment
+ 6 months of mechanical experience or equivalent
+ Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, you may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, and workspace restrictions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Employees are required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and gloves. Contact lenses are not allowed in production areas. PPE such as eye, hearing protection, and gloves are provided. You will typically work individually. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00
