**Description**
*Candidate will need to have at least 5 years experience in the underground sewer and water construction trade, but more is preferred.
*Candidate must have at least 2 years experience running a crew installing water and sewer.
*Responsible for running a crew of 3 to 4 guys installing water and sewer throughout Central Iowa.
– expected to operate excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.
– Will need them to have foreman or supervisor experience
– Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary, supply, delivery, and personnel
– Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
– Will be operating 20% of the time; majority of the time will be overseeing the crew.
– The crew consists of: pipe layer, top man, heavy equipment operator
– Emphasizing safe use of machinery and equipment
– Ability to give clear directions and communicate effectively
– Knowledge in all wet utilities including sewer, water, storm drain, and irrigation
– Knowledge of equipment operation
– Ability to climb in and out of trenches, manholes, and other confined work areas.
– Climb ladders, stairs and uneven terrain

The Foreman gauges all the Performance metrics:
50%- Effectiveness of the project completion
50%- Personality with the crew (Focus on relations with the operator).
Performance is gauged daily and yearly increases are paid out based on their performance

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 – $73000.00/yr.
*Position includes a company truck, paid vacation, paid holidays at 90 days, 401k at a year, paid insurance and other benefits along with very competitive wages.
