Reports to: Health Services Supervisor
Northcrest Community is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual to complete the scheduling of clinical staff for Health Services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- (Preferred) Experience working in senior housing or long term care environment
- (Preferred) Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to obtain within first 6 months of employment. If certification is needed, tuition is paid by employer.
- (Preferred) CPR and Basic Life Support Certification or willing to obtain within first 6 months of employment. If certification is needed, tuition is paid by employer.
- (Preferred) Experience with on-line scheduling tool(s)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- The Scheduler will create a monthly staffing schedule and ensure each shift is staffed appropriately per the clinical staffing model for licensed nurses, CNAs and Resident Associates.
- The Scheduler will schedule clinical staff for all areas of Northcrest’s Health Services including Health Center, Heartwood House, Home Health and Assisted Living.
- The Scheduler will generate, manage and update master schedules while making adjustments according to census fluctuations, call-ins, and pre-planned absences.
- The Scheduler will fill staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- The Scheduler will develop positive working relationships with all Health Services staff, creating a sense of trust, teamwork and spirit of collaboration.
- The Scheduler will fill in CNA shifts, when available, in the case of an uncovered shift.
- The Scheduler will engage in effective, positive verbal and written communication with all departmental employees and leadership teams.
- The Scheduler will assist the Health Services Supervisor and Assisted Living Manager in approving time off requests.
- The Scheduler will assist the Health Services Supervisor and Assisted Living Manager with bi-weekly payroll processing for the clinical staff.
