+ Position Summary
+ Under general supervision, obtains sonographic images for diagnostic purposes. Ultrasound Technologists ensure all actions taken in carrying out responsibilities support patient centered care.

+ Operates, cleans and generally maintains ultrasound equipment.
+ Assists in recording reports and examinations.
+ Performs all duties of Ultrasound Technologist. (per scope of practice)
+ Performs related work per orientation and position competency checklists and skills validation.
+ Performs other assigned duties.
+ Assures safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
+ Participates and maintains quality improvement initiatives to promote positive patient outcomes.
+ Assists patient, families, and visitors with various needs and utilizes specific communication tools to enhance customer service.
+ Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures on neonatal through geriatric patients.
+ Gathers and records pertinent patient history to aid in interpreting sonographic data.
+ Gathers and records significant anatomical information to aide in diagnosis.
+ Improvises ultrasound procedure when needed to obtain accurate and complete data.
+ Responsible for on call duties as scheduled
+ Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
+ Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
+ Completion of a ultrasound training program or 12 months of ultrasound work experience.
+ Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
+ Organizational Requirements:
+ Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.

+ Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
+ Knowledge of routine ultrasound proce¬dures and associated anatomy; knowledge of records to be maintained.
+ Ability to perform ultrasound procedures; ability to operate, clean and generally maintain ultrasound equipment.
+ Skill in providing diagnostic ultrasound services.
+ Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and geometry and their applications
+ Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
+ Active Listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
+ Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for adolescent through geriatric patients.
+ Skill in effective oral and written communication in English.
