Description We are in the search for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in the printing/publishing industry in Ames, Iowa. The role involves providing IT support and ensuring smooth operations. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity that offers substantial hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and issues.
– Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
– Oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT helpdesk, ensuring swift resolution of all tickets.
– Assist in the administration of Office 365 and other company software.
– Handle the setup and configuration of new systems, including Mac devices, OS’s, phones, and tablets.
– Utilize various technologies such as Cisco, Citrix, and Dell for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
– Manage the replacement of end-of-life hardware as part of ongoing asset management.
– Maintain accurate records of IT assets and software licenses.
– Implement and maintain IT security protocols, including email phishing programs and antivirus software updates.
– Support the setup of new employees, including hardware provisioning and software configuration.
Please note that this role requires a mix of technical skills and customer service acumen. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with various teams and departments to ensure a seamless IT experience for all staff members. Requirements – Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is essential
– Experience with Citrix Technologies is required
– Knowledge of Computer Hardware is necessary
– Familiarity with Database management is a must
– Experience with Dell Technologies is desirable
– Mastery of Active Directory is crucial
– Proficiency in handling Apple Devices is needed
– Understanding of Backup Technologies is required
