**Job Overview:**We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant High School Girls Track Coach to support the head coach in developing and managing the track and field program. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and competitive environment, encouraging athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the track.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Assist the coaching staff in planning and implementing training sessions for various track and field events.
– Support the development of athletes skills, including sprinting, distance running, jumping, and throwing.
– Monitor athletes progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
– Help organize and supervise practices, meets, and team events.
– Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among athletes.
– Assist with the recruitment and retention of team members.
– Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and performance.
– Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state regulations regarding athletics.
– Attend staff meetings and contribute to the overall development of the track program.
**Qualifications:**
– Previous coaching experience in track and field or a related sport is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of track and field techniques and training methods.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to motivate and inspire high school athletes.
