Summary
Serve as Cost Center Manager for the Institute for Design Research and Outreach, the Geographic Information Center, and the Center for Building Energy Research. Serve as Grants Coordinator for College of Design Sponsored Awards and Internal Grants. Support faculty in project financial management for community outreach and research projects.
Position Description & Responsibilities
Grant Management
+ Serve as a resource by familiarizing with all external and internally funded awards and related project budgets.
+ Coordinate post-award activities related to grant and contract awards (internal and external).
+ Diagnose and resolve issues with contracts and budgets, prepare re-budget funds as needed, and make changes to expenditures.
+ Review sponsored program awards and communicate terms and conditions to participants, provide financial reports, verify audits compliance, budget and reporting.
+ Submit Faculty summer salary requests from award funded grants and contracts.
+ Support Principal Investigators in project implementation and provide analytical support to managers and project PIs/co-PIs.
+ Assist with the hiring processing of undergraduate students and Graduate research assistants.
Cost Center Management (CCM) & Budget Reporting
+ Act as cost center manager of the Institute for Design Research and Outreach (IDRO), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center, and the Center for Building Energy Research (CBER) which includes the approval of financial transactions while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
+ Plan, analyze, prepare, and comply unit budget activities and financial reports.
+ Advise unit leaders regarding available options and budgetary implications.
+ Conduct high-level analysis support to IDRO leadership and central unit leadership stakeholders with trend analysis, forecasting, and overall management of award budgets.
+ Manage the fee-for-service structure.
+ Prepare reports for budget-to-actual monitoring throughout the operating cycle and provide metrics relevant to internal reporting.
