**Location:** Nevada, Iowa

**Job Description:**
+ We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team responsible for handling excavators, wheel loaders, roll graders, bulldozers, finish graders, and other large construction equipment. The primary focus will be operating excavators for mainline digging of water and sewer pipelines on commercial construction sites, with general labor tasks when not operating machinery.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Operate excavators, wheel loaders, roll graders, bulldozers, finish graders, and other heavy equipment.
+ Perform general labor tasks when not operating machinery.
+ Run excavators for mainline digging of water and sewer pipelines.
+ Lay sewer and water main pipes on commercial construction sites.
+ Navigate and locate utilities in urban and commercial settings.
+ Perform backfilling tasks using various heavy equipment (dozers, rollers, loaders, skid loaders).
**Skills/Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of experience in either; operating mainline heavy equipment OR pipelaying OR topman operations OR backfilling excavations/mainline digging
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
+ Willingness to assist with unloading trucks or setting structures as needed.

**Work Environment:**
+ Provide underground utility services to government agencies and municipalities.
+ Follow safety guidelines with trench boxes and effective communication with the team.
+ Projects range from 5 to 40 feet deep.
+ Dress code: jeans, T-shirt (no sleeveless), and steel-toe shoes.
+ PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, vests, gloves) provided.
+ Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM, with occasional heavy overtime.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $26.00/hr.
