Job Description:
Logistics and Support Services at Iowa State University is seeking applications for a Logistics Coordinator III within the Central Stores operation. Central Stores serves as the main supply warehouse for Iowa State University. Items managed by Central Stores include maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, janitorial supplies, paper supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and tools.
This role supports seamless operations in sales, customer service, logistics, and inventory management. The successful candidate will have knowledge regarding building maintenance and repair supplies (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, janitorial). Duties include sales, inventory control, stock put-away, order fulfillment, and customer service. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must. Other responsibilities include safely operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and university delivery vehicles. This person will work in a warehouse setting and perform occasional receiving and delivery duties.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Example of Duties:
+ Receives, stores, and delivers goods and services
+ Coordinates logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation
+ Communicates with faculty and staff on a regular basis regarding product and service availability, orders, requests, and deadlines
+ Maintains and operates inventory management, order fulfillment and delivery tracking systems
+ Maintains accurate and appropriate inventory records across all categories, eliminating errors
+ Assists management team regarding operational strategies
+ Track outstanding purchase orders and deliveries
+ Reconciles discrepancies
