The Fareway Distribution Center is currently seeking a motivated individual to serve as the Lot Attendant at our new Over-the-Road Truck Holding Lot in Boone.
JOB FUNCTION:
As a Lot Attendant you will
assist the distribution center team
by providing over-the-road drivers with delivery information and assistance
.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Check-in drivers as they arrive at our holding lot.
– Organize each days receiving schedule thru communications with the drivers and receiving offices.
– Effectively communicate with over-the-road drivers, our trailer shag drivers, and warehouse office personnel.
– Direct over-the-road drivers to their receiving dock.
– Some janitorial duties: including cleaning the Lot Office and driver vending area.
– General record keeping and office duties
– Clearing snow and ice around the lot and Lot Office area.
– Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
– Ability to read and speak English
– High school diploma or GED is required
– Strong oral and written skills and the ability to communicate well with others
– Organizational skills
– Ability to multi-task
– Ability to prioritize
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment
– Must be flexible and a team player
– General administrative computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
– Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, with minimal supervision, as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
– On-the-job training provided
– Pre-employment work-screen and background check
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
– Primarily office based with some outside responsibility
– Monday – Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
– Some Saturday work may be required.
