**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Softball Coach to lead our 7th and 8th-grade softball teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– **Coaching and Training:**
– Develop and implement practice plans that enhance player skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
– Conduct practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and game strategy.
– **Team Management:**
– Organize and manage team rosters, schedules, and transportation for games.
– Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and any relevant updates.
– **Game Strategy:**
– Prepare the team for competitions by teaching game rules, strategies, and tactics.
– Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback to players.
– **Safety and Compliance:**
– Ensure the safety of all athletes during practices and games, adhering to school policies and regulations.
– Promote a positive environment that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
– **Mentorship and Development:**
– Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging student-athletes to achieve personal and athletic growth.
**Qualifications:**
– Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
– Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
