Job Purpose:Responsible for the sales and marketing of corporate (non-agriculture), federal, state, and local government, youth sports, and religious group related hotel room nights, conferences, meetings and events. Foster and maintain positive relationships with meeting planners, group leads to exceed client and guest expectations; contributing towards a first-class hospitality experience. This position is responsible for generating year-over-year revenue growth for the hotel.

General Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prospect, sell and market to corporate (non-agriculture), federal, state, and local government, youth sports, and religious groups to generate leads through direct selling
2. Prospect, negotiate, and manage the hotels Business Traveler (BT) Program, to expand the corporate business traveler business to year over year growth
3. Responsible for maximizing sales and revenue of Gateway event spaces
4. Ensure that all events are successful and exhibit exemplary customer service with a positive approach before, during and after the sale
5. Take inquiries, generate leads, place bookings, sell benefits and distribute correct information to appropriate parties
6. Maintain accurate and up to date client and event data within the Property Management System
7. Deal with all internal and external clients in a professional and courteous manner at all times, taking into account the wide and diverse range of business activities at Gateway Hotel and Conference Center, while maintaining good relationships.
