Our client, a leader in the Animal Nutrition industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician General to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the production department supporting the operational team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully with the organization.

**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician General

**Location:** Ames, IA

**Pay Range:** $22-28/hr

**What’s the Job?**

+ Oversee and maintain mechanical production operation equipment to ensure efficient production.

+ Coordinate activities within the premix plant to achieve timely shipping of finished products.

+ Plan and execute effective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the working environment.

+ Train and mentor personnel in good manufacturing practices and operational procedures.

**What’s Needed?**

+ High School diploma or equivalent; trade certification preferred.

+ A minimum of three years of related experience in feed mill or premix production.

+ Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational systems.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work overtime and be available for call-ins during non-maintenance hours as needed.
